Go Oak Cliff has been serving the neighborhood with Good Times and Festivals for 13 years.
In 2010 a group of locals organized and began advocating to improve the quality of life in their historic neighborhood. By actively engaging in improvements and recruiting other like-minded people to move to the area to join the efforts, Go Oak Cliff was born.
The organization, founded by inaugural chairman Edwin Cabaniss and board members Amy Cowan, Jason Roberts, Rob Shearer and Matt Spillers, Go Oak Cliff has built a legacy with its signature events, enjoyed by the community's neighbors and the greater Dallas community alike. In the last decade, the annual Mardi Gras celebration in winter, Bastille on Bishop commemorating the neighborhood's French roots in the summer, and Blues, Bandits, & BBQ in the fall are still going strong.
These events continue the vision of the original Go Oak Cliff founders — neighbors forging lasting relationships through community celebrations honoring the historic and vibrant area in which they live.
